SEC approves 3rd batch of housing support beneficiar­ies

sharjah: Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of asharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired on Tuesday, the meeting of the SEC, held at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office.

The meeting discussed topics on the SEC agenda related to public policies in the Emirate, developing workflow in government entities, and following up on the implementa­tion of various developmen­t projects.

In implementa­tion of the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at providing family stability through housing support to the citizens of the Emirate of Sharjah, the SEC approved the third batch of housing support beneficiar­ies for 2022, amounting to Dhs172.4 million.

The third batch includes 249 beneficiar­ies who meet the conditions, distribute­d in the two categories of loans and grants in all cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, with the housing support purposes varying across new constructi­on, addition, completion, maintenanc­e, and obtaining government housing and mini housing units.

The value of housing support since 2012 until now has reached more than Dhs8.4 billion, which went to 10,353 beneficiar­ies.

As part of the efforts of the Emirate of Sharjah and to enhance its regional and internatio­nal position as the first child-friendly city in the region, the SEC issued the Sharjah Guidelines for Child Friendly Public Spaces, which aims to develop a flexible framework based on the infrastruc­ture of the Emirate of Sharjah, encourage innovation and creativity in the future, and support partnershi­ps in the design and implementa­tion of public places that cater to children of different ages and cultures.

An earlier report said the Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entreprene­urs (Ruwad) of the Sharjah Economic Developmen­t Department and the Sharjah Education Council (SEC), announced the start of preparatio­ns for the launch of the 8th edition of its annual community initiative “Business Stars”.
