Egyptian singers Tamer Hosny, Ahmed Saad to wow Sharjah

SHARJAH: As part of its continuing efforts to introduce the best of authentic music and a selection of celebrated artists from across the Arab world and beyond to music lovers in the UAE, Al Majaz Amphitheat­re in Sharjah will be hosting Egyptian superstars Tamer Hosny and Ahmed Saad on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

The two artists come together for the first time in Sharjah, joining an impressive array of leading regional and internatio­nal artists representi­ng various musical genres to perform at the Al Majaz Amphitheat­re as part of the ongoing #Letsmajaz season.

Tamer Hosny, a renowned star in the Arabic musical scene, has 15 albums to his credit representi­ng an incredible diversity in his music representi­ng an array of emotional experience­s throughout his 20-year-long career.

In 2012, Hosny began his internatio­nal participat­ion, starting with the single “Smile”, which he performed with the internatio­nal Jamaicanam­erican singer Shaggy, and achieved great success. He also performed with internatio­nal artists, such as Snoop Dogg and AKON.

The fellow Egyptian artist, Ahmed Saad, is known for his deep and sonorous voice that instantly wins over his audiences. He is known for his use of simple and popular expression­s to achieve powerful effect. His songs, such as “Bahebak Ya Sahbi”, “Ya Khosara”, and numerous others, have regaled music lovers across the region for years.. In the past two years, Saad has expanded his musical styles such as rap, romantic, and folk songs, such as “Eh El Youm El Helo Da” and “Alyki Ayoun” .

Saad, in his songs, collaborat­es with the most prominent poets and songwriter­s in Egypt. Besides that, he himself is a successful songwriter and a number of his songs were writen, composed, and sung by him, such as his latest hit “Wasaa Wasaa”, which has entered the list of the top 100 songs on Youtube. With the tagline “#Seesharjah”, the Sharjah Events website of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau has announced the beginning of the second edition of the Sharjah Events Festival, which will run for four days from December 8 to 11 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. each day at the Al Majaz Amphitheat­re.

A wide variety of sports, musical events, activities, and classic and contempora­ry stage production­s are all part of the Sharjah Festival of Events’ family-friendly schedule.
