DUBAI: An Indian expat, Dalip, residing in Kuwait has become the latest millionaire of Mahzooz and won the grand prize of Dhs20 million in the 102nd Mahzooz Super Saturday draw.

The 48-year-old Indian from Himachal Pradesh and father of three is the 30th multi-millionaire and working as a mechanical engineer for 16 years in Kuwait. He has been continuously participating in the Mahzooz draw without any break and finally won the grand prize of Dhs20 million.

Ahead of media interaction, Farid Samji, CEO of EWINGS, Managing Operator of Mahzooz, told the media that “the stroke of luck that we saw on the 102nd Super Saturday Draws epitomise Mahzooz’s ethos: changing people’s lives overnight, forever. This was part of our latest promotion, which offered participants the chance to win Dhs20m instead of the usual Dhs10m and I am very happy that the promotion didn’t end before that top prize was claimed.”

He further said that “this also confirms that Mahzooz’s popularity is cross border. Dalip is one amongst the thousands of winners who joined around 11,000 Mahzooz from GCC countries, and who collectively won close to Dhs30 million.”

He also said that soon they will have a second anniversary. “Our staff has doubled and working continuously to reinvent the game for participants and create more winners besides bringing happiness in the lives of its participants.

In the last less than two years, we produced 30 multimillionaires and in total paid our winners Dhs332 million,” he added.

Talking to the media, Dalip said he was determined to give his family – his wife, three children aged 25, 23 and 20 years old as well as his ageing parents – all the comforts of life possible with the prize money. “I couldn’t have saved this much even if I had worked for a hundred years.

“I had goosebumps when I received the email from Mahzooz on that memorable night. While geting ready for bed, I received an email from Mahzooz, but I assumed that I had won either the third prize of Dhs350 or the Dhs100,000 raffle draw prize. With the aid of this money, my family and I will be able to pursue all of our aspirations,” Dalip said.

Dalip’s greatest desire is to retire and reside in a state-of-the-art house in India in the future. But his first and immediate indulgence will be buying the latest iphone besides travelling around the world (Europe, USA and the Arabian Gulf countries) with his family. He also intends to invest and setle down with his family in the UAE as he believes that his life changed for the beter while he was participating with a homegrown brand from the UAE.
