Foreign Ministry fetes retirees
ABU DHABI: Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has honoured a group of retirees from the Ministry and awarded them commemorative shields and certificates of appreciation in celebration of their sincere efforts in serving the nation.
The honouring ceremony, which was held at the Ministry’s headquarters, was atended by Reem Bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State; and a number of officials.
On the occasion, Sheikh Abdullah said that this celebration of the retirees constitutes a message of appreciation and gratitude for their sincere national efforts that have reinforced the successes of Emirati diplomacy and fostered the UAE’S distinguished reputation at the regional and global levels.
“On this day, we reaffirm our pride in your accomplishments throughout your inspiring career that has enriched Emirati diplomacy. You have succeeded in representing our country at various regional and international forums, with tremendous efforts to consolidate the country’s global reputation and highlight its development achievements,” Sheikh Abdullah added.
He stated that their outstanding services to the homeland will always be appreciated and respected, stressing that they are national models for the youth and future generations.
AB DULL AH RECEIVES STUDENTS OF‘ ADVANCED MEDIA QUALIFICATION PROGRAMME’: Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a group of Emirati experts, who are the first batch of graduates of the Advanced Media Qualification Programme (Balance), as well as participants of the second batch of the programme.
The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. It included a number of retirees from the ministry, and other UAE federal and government entities.
The comprehensive interactive programme, which was designed to meet the needs of speakers from various specialities, enables its students with advanced skills in discourse and media influencing and become speakers who can influence others within their specialisation fields, in line with the latest practices.
