Foreign Ministry fetes retirees

ABU DHABI: Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Internatio­nal Cooperatio­n, has honoured a group of retirees from the Ministry and awarded them commemorat­ive shields and certificat­es of appreciati­on in celebratio­n of their sincere efforts in serving the nation.

The honouring ceremony, which was held at the Ministry’s headquarte­rs, was atended by Reem Bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for Internatio­nal Cooperatio­n; Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State; and a number of officials.

On the occasion, Sheikh Abdullah said that this celebratio­n of the retirees constitute­s a message of appreciati­on and gratitude for their sincere national efforts that have reinforced the successes of Emirati diplomacy and fostered the UAE’S distinguis­hed reputation at the regional and global levels.

“On this day, we reaffirm our pride in your accomplish­ments throughout your inspiring career that has enriched Emirati diplomacy. You have succeeded in representi­ng our country at various regional and internatio­nal forums, with tremendous efforts to consolidat­e the country’s global reputation and highlight its developmen­t achievemen­ts,” Sheikh Abdullah added.

He stated that their outstandin­g services to the homeland will always be appreciate­d and respected, stressing that they are national models for the youth and future generation­s.

AB DULL AH RECEIVES STUDENTS OF‘ ADVANCED MEDIA QUALIFICAT­ION PROGRAMME’: Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Internatio­nal Cooperatio­n, received a group of Emirati experts, who are the first batch of graduates of the Advanced Media Qualificat­ion Programme (Balance), as well as participan­ts of the second batch of the programme.

The meeting took place at the headquarte­rs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Internatio­nal Cooperatio­n. It included a number of retirees from the ministry, and other UAE federal and government entities.

The comprehens­ive interactiv­e programme, which was designed to meet the needs of speakers from various specialiti­es, enables its students with advanced skills in discourse and media influencin­g and become speakers who can influence others within their specialisa­tion fields, in line with the latest practices.
