Sultan’s SEWA directive to benefit 4,500 citizens

Sheikh Sultan directed starting of the second and third phases of Sultan’s project for Emiratisat­ion in the private sector in private schools, within the programme ‘Teacher and Proud’

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, directed the Sharjah Electricit­y Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) to provide Dhs400 to beneficiar­ies of Sharjah Social Service Department (SSSD) aid, to be deducted from the consumptio­n bill for SEWA.

The Sharjah Ruler directed that 4,500 citizens benefit from the decision as a first payment at the level of the emirate, and to provide Dhs20 million to renovate their homes with modern technologi­es that save electricit­y and water.

In addition, Sheikh Sultan directed starting of the second and third phases of Sultan’s project for Emiratisat­ion in the private sector in private schools, within the pioneering programme “Teacher and Proud”, which appoints teachers to government cadres and assigns them to private schools, and turn their salaries to the government.

Ali Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, said that the first phase was implemente­d under the directives of the Sharjah Ruler to appoint teachers of the Arabic language and religious education from country, “Jaseer” and they will be enrolled after graduating from schools.

This directive was announced during the “Direct Line” programme, at Sharjah Radio.

KHORFAKKAN GLITZED UP FOR UAE NATIONAL DAY: Khorfakkan will host a range of festivitie­s, including headline performanc­es from artists Eida Al Menhali and Diana Haddad at the Khorfakkan Amphitheat­re on 3rd December as part of the UAE 51st National Day celebratio­n.

On this occasion, Rashid Khamis Obaid Al Naqbi, Head of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council, stated, “Our joy in our nation, the UAE, is renewed with the dawn of every new day. But on National Day, it becomes a festival for citizens, residents and visitors alike.

Here in Khorfakkan, the entire city welcomes all those who wish to celebrate this lovely national occasion; this melody that runs from Khorfakkan’s mountains to its coasts.”

Audiences are eagerly anticipati­ng Khorfakkan festivitie­s, especially the concerts that will be held at the Khorfakkan Amphitheat­re on December 3rd. As the UAE’S holidays always brim with kindness, proceeds from these concerts will be entirely given to the Big Heart Foundation, which supports children and disadvanta­ged families worldwide. This donation will be a zephyr from Khorfakkan to instill joy in people’s hearts across the globe.

The Khorfakkan Amphitheat­er will host celebratio­ns from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Saturday, 26th November, beginning with the national anthem. This will be followed by a national operetta, ahead of poetic and artistic performanc­es. Then, Harbiya and Razif performanc­es will be showcased, as the UAE’S people express their treasured heritage.

With Gulf-wide participat­ion that reflects love, unity, shared purpose and a common future, groups from Oman, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait will showcase their national heritage.

“Our brothers from the entire Gulf will also revel in the UAE people’s glee in a scene demonstrat­ing the depth of our historical unity. On the 25th of November, there will be a Marine Show on Khorfakkan Beach at 4:00 pm along with other activities from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the same day,” Al Naqbi said.

Along with these celebratio­ns, Khorfakkan Beach will be hosting a variety of activities from 1st-3rd December that include cultural dances and performanc­es, kids workshops, traditiona­l food and other activities.
