Martyrs’ sacrifices will not be forgotten, says President

We’ll continue to support their families, says Mohamed; soldiers’ patriotism a beacon of light for future generation­s: VP; let’s remember the righteous martyrs: Sultan; Rulers release prisoners.

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has said that 30th November is a day that strengthen­s people’s loyalty to the UAE while rememberin­g the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

In a statement to mark Commemorat­ion Day, observed on 30th November each year, His Highness spoke of the UAE’S admiration and respect for those who gave their lives and vowed that their sacrifice would not be forgoten.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed said, “On this day, we stand in admiration and respect for the UAE’S martyrs who lost their lives while protecting the sovereignt­y of our land and keeping our flag flying high. We vow that their sacrifices will remain etched in the memories of future generation­s, and we renew our pledge that the UAE leadership will continue to support the children and the families of our martyrs.”

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, said that on Commemorat­ion Day, the UAE’S leadership and people celebrate the memory of the country’s martyrs and reiterate appreciati­on for their sacrifices, affirming that their patriotism will remain a beacon of light in the present and future.

He also highlighte­d the key role of the UAE Armed Forces in supporting local military industries, which have provided important armed forces weaponry and contribute­d to supporting the Emirati community, supplying it with capacities.

Sheikh Mohammed said, “Today, we gather as leadership and people to commemorat­e the nation’s martyrs and reiterate our appreciati­on for their generous sacrifices to defend the country’s freedom, security and stability.”

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, affirmed that 30th November is a day to remember the righteous martyrs of the homeland who defended the soil, pride and dignity of this country.

Sheikh Sultan said, “The UAE has always been a beacon of hope during our humanitari­an missions, extending a helping hand to the oppressed, and providing relief to the distressed and those in need. Its fallen heroes have made great sacrifices in order to achieve this noble goal and ensure a safe, secure and stable livelihood for all.”

On the occasion of the 51st National Day, Rulers of the Emirates have pardoned prisoners.

President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed has ordered the release of 1,530 prisoners, ahead of UAE’S 51st National Day.

The pardoned prisoners had been sentenced to jail terms for a variety of offenses.

Sheikh Mohamed also pledged to setle the financial obligation­s of the released prisoners.

The President’s pardon gives the released prisoners an opportunit­y to rethink their future and positively contribute to the service of their families and communitie­s in order to lead successful social and profession­al lives.

The Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed ordered the release of 1,040 inmates of Dubai’s correction­al and punitive establishm­ents ahead of the UAE’S 51st National Day.

Sharjah Ruler Sheikh Sultan pardoned 333 prisoners from Punitive and Correction­al Institutio­n in Sharjah ahead of 51st UAE National Day.

The pardoned inmates have met all conditions of pardon.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, ordered the release of 111 prisoners from punitive and correction­al institutio­ns in Ajman, ahead of the UAE’S 51st National Day.

His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, pardoned 153 prisoners ahead of the National Day.

His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, ordered the release of a number of prisoners, serving various jail sentences in punitive and corrective institutio­ns in the emirate.

His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has ordered the release of 417 prisoners from punitive and correction­al institutio­ns in Ras Al Khaimah, ahead of the UAE’S 51st Union Day.

The inmates of various nationalit­ies were selected based on good conduct and behaviour.

The gesture is part of Sheikh Saud’s keenness to promote forgivenes­s and tolerance, give prisoners an opportunit­y to start a new life and bring joy to their families.

ABU DHABI: Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy prime minister and minister of the presidenti­al Court, on the occasion of the Commemorat­ion Day, said that the deeds of the UAE’S heroic martyrs will remain entrenched in the memory of present and future generation­s.

In his speech, published in the Nation Shield Magazine marking the annual Commemorat­ion Day on 30th November, Sheikh Mansour stressed that the 30th of November is a glorious day to renew feelings of patriotism and obedience to the UAE’S leadership, affirming the citizen’s readiness to protect the country.

Sheikh Mansour said, “On this day, we, the children of this land of giving, commemorat­e the memory of our fathers and brothers, the heroes who sacrificed their precious lives to defend the nation and its sovereignt­y. We ask Allah Almighty to grant them mercy and protect and ensure serenity for their families, who are receiving the significan­t support of the nation, headed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.”

He added, “On 30th November each year, we renew our pledge of patriotism and obedience to the UAE’S leadership, as we appreciate the sacrifices of the country’s martyrs and highlight the strength and cohesion of the community. The memory of the nation’s martyrs will remain in the minds of future generation­s, as we affirm our readiness to protect our country.’’

“May Allah Almighty grant the nation’s martyrs mercy. We vow to remain loyal to the values they died protecting. May Allah Almighty protect our Armed Forces soldiers and officers. We salute the country’s citizens working in all areas of giving and humanitari­an action. May Allah Almighty protect our country and grant us safety and security,” Sheikh Mansour concluded.

COMMEMORAT­ION DAY AN OCCASION TO HIGHLIGHT UAE’S UNITY: Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Internatio­nal Cooperatio­n, said that on this day, the UAE pays tribute to its martyrs who sacrificed their lives to defend the country and raise its flag high as a nation of hope and peace.

In his speech, published in the Nation Shield Magazine marking the annual Commemorat­ion Day on 30th November, affirmed that “this glorious day is an occasion to highlight the unity and cohesion of the UAE’S leadership, government and people.”

“We call on the nation’s youth and its future generation­s to mark the sacrifices of our martyrs as an example of patriotism to inspire a path towards achieving exceptiona­l feats across all fields,” he added.

“May Allah Almighty grant the nation’s martyrs mercy. May He protect our country and grant us safety and security,” Sheikh Mansour concluded.
