Ministry holds ceremony for National Day

DUBAI: The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (MFNCA) held a ceremony to mark the UAE’S 51st National Day while its team was on a special visit to Dubai’s Museum of the Future to explore innovation­s, and the UAE’S technologi­cal advancemen­t and proactivit­y in shaping the future.

The event was atended by Sami Mohammed Bin Adi, Assistant Undersecre­tary for Support Services at the MFNCA, along with heads of department­s and employees.

“From the moment that the establishm­ent of our Union was announced, our Founding Fathers, under the leadership of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, took on the responsibi­lity of advancing this country, achieving the aspiration­s of its people, and striving to firmly position the UAE among the most developed countries in the world,” Bin Adi said.

“Celebratin­g the 51st National Day inside this engineerin­g masterpiec­e and architectu­ral icon is the ideal representa­tion of the remarkable achievemen­ts the UAE has made over the past 50 years, and will continue to make in the future, guided by the forward-looking vision of our wise leadership,” he added. “This will ultimately lead to additional major accomplish­ments in all sectors, propelling the UAE to the fore among the nations of the world over the next 50 years.”

The Ministry’s staff marked the occasion, sending their warmest greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, along with Their Highnesses, the Rulers of the Emirates, and the people of the UAE. They renewed their pledge to work hard and persevere to fulfil the vision of our wise leadership and strive towards excellence in all fields.

In another developmen­t, Emirates islamic, one of the leading islamic financial institutio­ns in the UAE, marked the UAE’S 51st National Day at the bank’s headquarte­rs in Dubai Healthcare City, celebratin­g the country’s heritage with a display of traditiona­l Emirati culture.

Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim, Chairman of Emirates islamic and Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates NBD, and Salah Amin, Chief Executive Officer of Emirates islamic, together with senior management, staff and customers gathered for the celebratio­ns.
