Rashid Centre students celebrate National Day

Dubai: The UAE government with its vision to support every segment of the society has given special attention to the people of determinat­ion and defended their causes and rights.

This was said by Maryam Othman, Director of Rashid Centre for People of Determinat­ion on the occasion of the 51st UAE National Day celebratio­ns.

The students of Rashid Centre had a huge event held at Madinat Jumeirah and presented integrated theatrical performanc­es to celebrate the National Day under the banner of ‘Spirit of the Emirates’ in the presence of Sheikh Juma Bin Maktoum, Managing Director of the Rashid Centre for People of Determinat­ion, and a group of sponsors, supporters, public figures, and the parents of the centre’s students.

Maryam Othman presented her blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and other Rulers.

She said, “The National Day represents an occasion dear to all of our hearts, in which we celebrate the country’s civilised achievemen­ts, which placed it at the forefront of internatio­nal indicators, and made it a role model in the region and the world.” She added, “On this day, we remember the efforts and donations of all those who contribute­d to building the state, and we renew our loyalty to the Emirates, loyalty to our wise leadership, and rallying around the nation’s flag in the march of progress and prosperity.”

Mariam Othman indicated that the UAE, despite the comprehens­ive developmen­t it has achieved, has not overlooked people of determinat­ion. She said, “The UAE has always shown special interest in people of determinat­ion and granted them the space they need. It has sought, through the set of laws it enacted, to protect the people of this segment, their rights and human dignity, and has defended and publicised their causes, until the entire country has become an incubator for them and their creativity and a friend to people of determinat­ion, who today cherish their expression. How much they love her.”
