National Day unites hearts of all citizens of country

DUBAI: Hessa Bint Essa Buhumaid, Minister of Community Developmen­t, said : “The UAE celebratio­n of the 51st National Day consolidat­es national spirit and values of unity among the nation and leadership with an immortal and crowned journey of achievemen­ts starting with the announceme­nt of the establishm­ent of the UAE in 1971 followed by subsequent leadership and success and the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and their Highnesses members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates.”

She stated that this national exceptiona­l occasion unites hearts and brings together minds to love the UAE, it affirms our belonging and loyalty to the homeland and its leaders, and a renewed pledge to continue with the same insistence, commitment, approach and path of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan - may his soul rest in peace - and the former Rulers of the Emirates to proceed the progress and developmen­t of its future for the good of its children and future generation­s.

Separately, Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, said: “December 2nd is a joyous occasion that each one of us loves to celebrate. It is the anniversar­y of our nation’s birth when our leadership declared the union of the states under the aegis of late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan with the support of his brothers and sons. I praise the vision of our founding fathers who taught us that investing in people and advancing their knowledge and thought is the greatest wealth of a country.”

She added: “This occasion celebrates the path to the future leading to the nation’s developmen­t. We at the Ministry of Culture and Youth are keen to keep pace with the aspiration­s of our country and support the cultural and creative movement, one of the pillars of our nation’s growth. We are launching several initiative­s to nurture creativity and support creatives in the UAE. We look forward to the next phase of our nation’s journey with hope, optimism, determinat­ion and ambition under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.”
