Leaders mark colourful 51st National Day celebrations
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has attended the 51st National Day Official Celebration held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes, Deputy Rulers and Sheikhs, also attended the celebration.
Earlier during the day, President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed has received cables of congratulations from kings, presidents and emirs of brotherly and friendly countries on the UAE’S 51st National Day.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid also received similar greetings on the occasion.
Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, has attended the UAE’S 51st National Day Official Celebration, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
The celebration was also attended by the wives of several Sheikhs, prominent female figures and officials, and the wives of diplomats.
The celebration included a number of live traditional performances and shows that showcase the history of the UAE, its values and its achievements since its establishment.
At the end of the event, Sheikha Fatima expressed her appreciation for the event’s organisers and everyone who contributed to the event’s success.
She also congratulated attendees, and UAE citizens and residents on the special occasion.
Dr Ahmed Al Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, offered his warmest congratulations to President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid, Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and the Emirati people on the occasion of the UAE’S 51st National Day.
Dr Al Tayeb asked Allah Almighty to continue blessing the United Arab Emirates with peace, security, and prosperity.
In a separate development, the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) began disbursing a package of housing benefits worth nearly Dhs3 billion to Abu Dhabi citizens upon the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed. The package will benefit 1,900 citizens in the emirate.
Falah Mohammad Al Ahbabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ADHA, thanked President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed for his directives while noting that the disbursement of the package will increase the happiness of citizens, especially as it coincides with the UAE’S 51st National Day.
He also pointed out that the package completes a series of housing packages launched in 2022, and underscores the keenness of the
UAE’S leadership to provide citizens with decent lives and social stability.
Emirates Post Group released commemorative stamps in honour of the UAE’S 51st National Day to commemorate the founding of the union that opened the path for excellence and established the country as one of the top nations in the world.
The stamps issued in five different designs, comprising of unique and historic design and symbols, pay tribute to the nation’s rich culture, deeply rooted values, and unbound ambition that celebrates the milestones of the past, achievements of the present, and looks on towards a prosperous future.
It is a double celebration for new parents who welcomed their newborn babies on UAE’S 51st National Day. The healthy babies born on the 51st birthday of the UAE have brought more happiness than usual.
A minute after 12 midnight that signalled the entry of the auspicious Dec.2, Almas became the third girl of a Syrian family to be followed at 12:07am by first-born Meheddin, also to a Syrian couple at the NMC Royal Hospital in Sharjah.
Almas’ father, Mohammed Allazkani said: “Our beautiful baby girl is here and she looks like a world of everything beautiful. She has chosen the UAE National Day, an important day for us to remember forever. We wish the Rulers of this country all the happiness and best wishes.”
