Indian expat wins Dhs30m in Abu Dhabi raffle draw

SHARJAH: An Indian expat with the ticket number 206975 has won Dhs30 million in Abu Dhabi Big Ticket, one of the biggest ever raffle draws on Saturday.

The expat, who has been identified as Kathar Hussain, lives in Sharjah.

Hussain brought the ticket 206975 for the raffle draw number 246 online on Nov.6.

The host called Hussain to inform the good news, but his phone was switched off.

The host, Richard, said during the live telecast that Hussain bought two tickets and won with his free ticket in 2+1 free offer.

Big Ticket Abu Dhabi wrote on Facebook, “Congratulations to The Grand Prize 30 Million Series 246 winners! ”

Another Indian, Nisha Muhammed Bihas won a Range Rover in the Dream Car raffle draw.

Big Ticket wrote on Facebook, “Congratulations to Nisha Muhammed Bhas with Ticket No. 007616 from India for winning the Dream Car Range Rover Series 07!”

Apart from Kathar Hussain, three others won cash prizes as well.

Thomas Ollukkaran from India won Dhs1,000,000 as second prize.

Prabhjeet Singh from India won Dhs100,000 as third prize. Saeed Khamis Hamad Saeed Aljnelbl from the UAE won Dhs50,000 as fourth prize. They all bought the tickets online.

The Big Ticket, the longest-running and biggest raffle draw in the UAE is hosted at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Ain Airport and online at www.bigticket.ae
