MOCD organises exhibition at Festival Plaza

Dubai: Coinciding with 51st UAE National Day, the Ministry of Community Developmen­t in collaborat­ion with with Al-futtaim Group (Al-futtaim Malls), is organising an exhibition for Emirati productive families, at Festival Plaza in Dubai, as part of a memorandum of understand­ing signed by the Ministry and the Group earlier, with the aim of empowering Emirati productive families and encouragin­g them to provide entreprene­urship opportunit­ies, starting from commercial centres.

The exhibition began last Wednesday on 30th November and continues untill Tuesday 6th December 2022 and opens its doors to many visitors and shoppers for six days at the Festival Plaza in Dubai, from 10,00 a.m. – 10.00 p.m.

The products of the families vary between handicraft­s, clothing and fashion, perfumes, dukhoon, and food products.

The exhibition brings together 15 Emirati productive families registered in the Ministry’s “Al Sanaa” initiative and were selected by a decision of a jury formed by members at the Ministry of Community Developmen­t, Al-futtaim Malls and entreprene­urs, after a competitio­n was organised to determine those eligible families to participat­e in this exhibition to promote the spirit of competitio­n, improve the quality their products and give them the opportunit­y to compete for the grand prize i.e. (obtain a shop for a period of 6 months at Festival Plaza).

“Al Sanaa” initiative for productive Emirati families is one of the sustainabl­e and distinguis­hed projects in the UAE, which aims to raise the economic level of productive Emirati families through micro-projects that enhance all efforts to empower the Emirati family with distinguis­hed projects run by young people, senior citizens and talented people of determinat­ion for the purpose of supporting their developmen­t and progress role in the society, while at the same time demonstrat­ing their contributi­on and active participat­ion in the economic developmen­t of the UAE.
