THE BAKING WORLD PREPARES FOR IBA

The world’s leading trade fair for bakery, confectionery and snacks, iba 2015, will take place from September 12-17; with 70,000 visitors from 164 countries expected in Munich, Germany. This event is held once every three years. iba showcases the best of the industry from corporate giants to artisan bakeries, and everything in the industry’s supply chain. The exchange of ideas helps attendees look at world trends, regardless of the scale of business.

The product areas have been divided into: production technology; packaging technology and process optimization; refrigeration, fermentation and air- conditioning products; cleaning/hygiene products and services; and raw materials and ingredients. This year, there is also a special focus on snacks, coffee, ice cream and chocolate. Each day will be unique, with various activities in addition to the exhibition. The ibasummit features experts and key players, including renowned mogul Eric Kayser, and focuses on themes including global nutrition, food safety, consumption trends, innovative business models, and marketing strategies. There are also seminars, the UIBC Cup baker and confectionary competition, with teams from 12 countries, and an exclusive Oktoberfest tent for attendees. iba can offer packages and assistance for attendees and organize special industry tours in the area.
