The Gulf Today - - OPINION -

progress and sustainable development.

The UAE has made fantastic strides in various ields. Dubai itself is an emirate of superlatives, breaking new records frequently.

I sincerely wish that the innovative spirit of the people, strongly backed by a very encouraging leadership, takes this lovely country forward to new heights in various ields. Grace Gladstone

By email I AM eagerly looking forward to the Sharjah book fair. 20 million books? That’s quite a humongous amount at the 11-day fantastic exhibition. I love devouring books, and I have been visiting the annual event for over seven years. Truly, its achievements have taken it to its unique position as the world’s third largest book fair today.

The Sharjah International Book Fair has a proud history of enhancing cultural mobility. Where else can you ind so many aspiring writers, thinkers and celebrities exchanging ideas in brainstorming sessions, all to the delight of avid fans who attend the group discussions?

No wonder the footfall is growing year by year. Last year there were more than two million visitors. It truly is a page-turner and an all-time classic. Anjali Gupta
