- BY HAMZA M. SENGENDO

DUBAI: A man who hired three countrymen to molest his girlfriend after she decided to spurn him was on Thursday locked up with them.

The Asian salesman, 28, was in love with a Chinese accountant, 25, for around three years. When she decided to terminate the relationship, he asked his workmate, 22, to ind a gang of men to teach her a lesson.

He offered to pay them Dhs2,000. The workmate introduced the deal to two tailors (aged 34 and 32). Both tailors stormed her apartment in the International City’s Chinese Cluster around 2am on Aug.25.

They clutched her, stripped her, tied her arms and legs and sealed her mouth shut with duct tape. They touched her all over before decamping with her iphone and Huawei smartphone and Dhs12,000.

The Dubai Criminal Court jailed both tailors for one year to be followed by deportation and jailed the salesman and workmate for six months to be followed by deportation, over theft and molestation.

On the record, the woman was in her apartment. The tailors relentlessly rang the bell. She opened to see what was wrong. They forced their way in, restrained her, wore gloves and searched for valuables. They stripped her, tied her up and sealed her mouth. They touched her. She resisted and groaned forcing them to run away. She struggled, unfastened the duct tape and went to the Rashidiyah Police Station.

In police records, the salesman upon his arrest told a police sergeant that he was in love with her until a week ago when she planned to chuck him. He decided to “teach her a lesson she will never forget.”

He picked up both tailors from their residence in Sharjah and purchased used clothes to be used by both during the raid. He transported them to the area and pointed them to the building housing the apartment.

Police nabbed both tailors in Sharjah’s Rolla area. They frisked the irst one and seized him with both smartphones. They frisked the second and seized him with Dhs11,600. Both confessed to the raid and said the seized items belonged to the woman.
