Emirati poet re­leases song for Na­tional Day

ABU DHABI: Poet Tariq Al Kindi has re­leased a song for the Na­tional Day in hon­our of Sheikh Zayed, the found­ing fa­ther of the UAE.

An Emirati na­tional, Tariq Al Kindi called his video-song ‘Pleas­ant Year’ (‘Aam Al Khair’), which he recorded last week in WIKIMEDIA in Dubai.

The song lyrics which he com­posed talk about Sheikh Zayed’s great deeds and sup­port to the world.

Speak­ing to ‘The Gulf To­day,’ singer and poet Tariq said the song ‘Pleas­ant Year’ was sung by the three­some, namely Tariq Al Kindi along with Pak­istani singer Nazia Mo­hammed Amin and In­dian singer Gafoor Shas, who com­posed the mu­sic for the song while mu­sic ar­range­ments were pro­vided by Sa­jil Saptha.

Poet Al Kindi is also the au­thor of the book “Tears and Pain’ called ‘Du­mua Wa­jrah’ in the Ara­bic lan­guage.

In the re­cent past Tariq Al Kindi also put out three au­dio al­bums in Ara­bic, and co­op­er­ated with a mul­ti­tude of singers from the Gulf re­gion and Mid­dle East. The al­bums were ‘Tears and Pain’, ‘Si­lent Lips’ and ‘Fire Di­men­sion’ in­clud­ing his ‘Ya Habeebi Ya Malak’ mean­ing ‘My Love My An­gel’ a duet he sang with Nazia Mo­hammed Amin.

Tariq’s songs are mostly ro­man­tic and sad melodies. He said ninety per cent of them are melodies while ten per cent were cel­e­bra­tory songs for his coun­try, UAE.
