Emirati poet releases song for National Day

ABU DHABI: Poet Tariq Al Kindi has released a song for the National Day in honour of Sheikh Zayed, the founding father of the UAE.

An Emirati national, Tariq Al Kindi called his video-song ‘Pleasant Year’ (‘Aam Al Khair’), which he recorded last week in WIKIMEDIA in Dubai.

The song lyrics which he composed talk about Sheikh Zayed’s great deeds and support to the world.

Speaking to ‘The Gulf Today,’ singer and poet Tariq said the song ‘Pleasant Year’ was sung by the threesome, namely Tariq Al Kindi along with Pakistani singer Nazia Mohammed Amin and Indian singer Gafoor Shas, who composed the music for the song while music arrangemen­ts were provided by Sajil Saptha.

Poet Al Kindi is also the author of the book “Tears and Pain’ called ‘Dumua Wajrah’ in the Arabic language.

In the recent past Tariq Al Kindi also put out three audio albums in Arabic, and cooperated with a multitude of singers from the Gulf region and Middle East. The albums were ‘Tears and Pain’, ‘Silent Lips’ and ‘Fire Dimension’ including his ‘Ya Habeebi Ya Malak’ meaning ‘My Love My Angel’ a duet he sang with Nazia Mohammed Amin.

Tariq’s songs are mostly romantic and sad melodies. He said ninety per cent of them are melodies while ten per cent were celebrator­y songs for his country, UAE.
