AD CP, Uganda PM hold talks

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received on Sunday, Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda of Uganda, who is currently visiting the country to attend Abu Dhabi Sustainabi­lity Week.

During the meeting, held at the Beach Palace, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Prime Minister Rugunda, held discussion­s surroundin­g bilateral ties between the two countries.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received on Sunday, President of the Inter parliament­ary Union, IPU, Gabriel a Cuevas Barron, at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi.

Barron is currently visiting the country to take part in Abu Dhabi Sustainabi­lity Week events.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed and Barron held discussion­s on the role parliament­s play to support their peoples, and address issues of interest to ensure sustainabi­lity, peace and security.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional and internatio­nal developmen­ts. They noted the importance of events being held during Abu Dhabi Sustainabi­lity Week, such that issues concerning energy, water, and the environmen­t are addressed.

Dr Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council, FNC, Dr An war bin mo ha mm edgar gash, minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, EAA, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, were present during the meeting.

JAPAN’S MINISTER

Sheikh Mohamed yesterday received Hiroshige Seko, Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, who is visiting the UAE to attend the Abu Dhabi Sustainabi­lity Week, ADSW.

During the meeting, the two sides explored means of enhancing cooperatio­n between the UAE and Japan across various ields, especially economic, trade and investment, in addition to all industries that support vital sectors in both countries. They aimed that this cooperatio­n would meet their aspiration­s to diversify their economic relations and broaden them to wider horizons.

Sheikh Mohamed and Minister Seko also reviewed a number of topics of interest to the two countries and exchanged views on them.

UGANDAN PM

Sheikh Mohamed received on Sunday, Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda of Uganda, who is currently visiting the country to attend Abu Dhabi Sustainabi­lity Week.

During the meeting, held at the Beach Palace, Sheikh Mohamed and Prime Minister Rugunda, held discussion­s surroundin­g bilateral ties between the two countries, and mean of developing them across sectors, especially in the trade and investment, and energy ields.

The two sides highlighte­d the importance of hosting events during Abu Dhabi Sustainabi­lity Week, that shed light on issues concerning the environmen­t, and energy and water security, involving the internatio­nal community to come up with innovative solutions to address sustainabi­lity issues.

RECEIVING PRESIDENTS

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed also received the President of Angola João Lourenço in Abu Dhabi. Both leaders discussed strengthen­ing of cooperatio­n as well as issues of mutual interest.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince received Mauritania­n President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz. They discussed regional and internatio­nal issues.
