CXC slips available Monday
The exam results slips for this year’s Caribbean Examination Council exams are available from the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training from Monday.
The slips can be collected between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, a release from the Barbados Government Information Service stated yesterday.
Students found themselves in a bind after the requested slips were not available for applications to tertiary and other institutions putting their education at risk. The unavailability of the slips also forced the Barbados Community College to push back its deadline application for the upcoming academic year.
Certificates for the year 2013 to 2017 may also be collected from the Ministry’s “Elsie Payne Complex”, Constitution Road, St. Michael, headquarters during the same times.
The results slips are available from the Examination Section of the Ministry. Persons collecting results slips and the CXC Certificates for the years 2013 to 2017 must present their Barbados identification card, driver’s licence or Barbados passport.
Last month, CXC officials reported a problem with the student portal frustrating hundreds of students from accessing their results. Added to that, the ministry had not sent on the result slips to the various schools.
The ministry has pointed out that in cases where a person is collecting the results slip or CXC certificates for the years 2013 to 2017 on behalf of someone else, they must present one form of that person’s identification.
Persons should note that CXC certificates for the years 2013 to 2017 that are not collected by November 29, will be destroyed.
