T20 semis next week

The semi-fi­nals of the Bar­ba­dos Cricket As­so­ci­a­tion’s (BCA) Sagi­cor Gen­eral Twenty20 com­pe­ti­tion will fi­nally come off next week.

Af­ter a hia­tus, the BCA an­nounced yes­ter­day that the two semi-fi­nals will be played next week un­der lights at Kens­ing­ton Oval.

The first match brings to­gether Coun­ter­point Wan­der­ers and Spar­tan on Mon­day, with Crane Re­sort St Cather­ine meet­ing de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Sagi­cor UWI on Wed­nes­day. Both games start at 7 p.m. The fi­nal will be played on Septem­ber 23.

The com­pe­ti­tion had been on pause for more than three months be­cause of a se­ries of protests and ap­peals in the rain-af­fected quar­ter-fi­nal be­tween St Cather­ine and Bayview Hospi­tal YMPC.
