EX­PE­RI­ENCED ALL­ROUNDER KEVIN STOUTE is a no­table omis­sion from a 13-mem­ber Bar­ba­dos Pride squad to face Lee­ward Is­lands Hur­ri­canes at the start of the 2018-2019 Cricket West In­dies Re­gional 4-Day com­pe­ti­tion.

The 33-year-old Stoute, a for­mer Bar­ba­dos cap­tain and vet­eran of 68 first­class matches since his de­but in 2007, has been by­passed in favour a few young play­ers for the day/ night match, which will be played at the 3Ws Oval from De­cem­ber 6 to 9.

Twenty-year-old Ni­cholas Kir­ton is the lone new­comer to the squad, hav­ing pre­vi­ously rep­re­sented Com­bined Cam­puses and Col­leges in 13 re­gional lim­ited-overs matches.

Shamarh Brooks, cap­tain in re­cent sea­sons when­ever Kraigg Brath­waite has been un­avail­able be­cause of West In­dies du­ties, will once again be at the helm.

The only other sea­soned play­ers in the team are left-handed bats­man Jonathan Carter and fast bowler Miguel Cum­mins, but most of the oth­ers have been play­ing for at least two sea­sons.
