Stoute not in line-up
EXPERIENCED ALLROUNDER KEVIN STOUTE is a notable omission from a 13-member Barbados Pride squad to face Leeward Islands Hurricanes at the start of the 2018-2019 Cricket West Indies Regional 4-Day competition.
The 33-year-old Stoute, a former Barbados captain and veteran of 68 firstclass matches since his debut in 2007, has been bypassed in favour a few young players for the day/ night match, which will be played at the 3Ws Oval from December 6 to 9.
Twenty-year-old Nicholas Kirton is the lone newcomer to the squad, having previously represented Combined Campuses and Colleges in 13 regional limited-overs matches.
Shamarh Brooks, captain in recent seasons whenever Kraigg Brathwaite has been unavailable because of West Indies duties, will once again be at the helm.
The only other seasoned players in the team are left-handed batsman Jonathan Carter and fast bowler Miguel Cummins, but most of the others have been playing for at least two seasons.
Shamarh Brooks (captain), Anthony Alleyne, Jonathan Carter, Miguel Cummins, Justin Greaves, Keon Harding, Chemar Holder, Aaron Jones, Nicholas Kirton, Shayne Moseley, Shamar Springer, Tevyn Walcott, Hayden Walsh Jr. Management unit: Emmerson Trotman (head coach), Wendell Coppin (manager), Vasbert Drakes (assistant coach), Dr Jacqueline King (physiotherapist), Alicia Thompson (masseuse), Alexander Forde (strength and conditioning trainer), Jamar Layne (analyst).
