Her land was fenced in and cleaned of any grass, but along that stretch of road were more overgrown lots than houses.
In another avenue the path was almost impassable with the greenery taking over the road, forcing vehicles to drive with extra caution when passing each other. The next avenue also has the same problem.
In one gap there were about 20 lots with few homes built. There were two houses numbered 108 and 110 next to each other, abandoned. One of the properties could hardly be seen as it was overtaken by the bush while the other property, a two-storey house, had a number of cracks with shrubbery growing all around.
The residents said they want the landowners to keep their lots clear and for the Ministry of Health to do something about the rodents.
