Resilience is like a superpower that helps us bounce back from tough times. It's all about facing challenges, adapting, and coming out stronger on the other side.

I didn't believe this until life took a drastic turn for what I feared was the worst and most painful and agonizing 14 years of my life. I was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia, and doctors deemed me dead by age 20...I thought that was it, but when I was only 16, I had an accident that left me immobilized with both ankles wrapped and on the brink of amputation, what they call Chronic Leg Ulcers.

The hospital became my second home, I barely graduated high school, and I couldn't work because I was either stuck in bed or at the hospital getting treatments. On top of that, in the year 2019, I had to do a blood transfusion due to low blood count, and I had early-stage kidney disease and acute chest syndrome.

I thought, "Lord, why am I even here?" and I remembered back in 2016 the Holy Spirit whispered gently yet clearly, "SHARE YOUR STORY!" I was no college graduate nor was I a journalist, but I've learned that "God doesn't call the qualified, HE QUALIFIES THE CALL!

So I wrote two books titled, "Here I Am, Lord: Surrendering When It's Uncomfortable," and a devotional "A Call To Deeper Prayer: 31 Days Toward Building Undefeated Faith for Persons Struggling with Chronic Illnesses. With God ALL things are Possible.

I got my first summer and official job at age 28, I've been on the Daylight Talk Show with my book coach and publisher Crystal Daye, written for Freedom Come Rain and PAJE Magazines.

Practice gratitude despite the odds and make your story a testament of resilience.
