Thumbs up for tax move

UK Barbados Nation - - NEWS - – ANDY ARMSTRONG

WOW! THIS IS SEISMIC. I never thought I would live to see the day when a Government was bold enough to treat local companies the same way that they treat international companies ( Big Gift For Companies, Page 4).

The revelation that the previous administration had already committed to doing something similar by end of 2018 indicates that there was (and, hopefully, still is) a bipartisan understanding that it is time our tax system stops discriminating against local business.

I would also challenge companies that have set up in other jurisdictions such as St Lucia (quite legally) to reduce their tax burden, to come back home; Barbados needs you!
