Boy, 7, crushed by car at home

PORT OF SPAIN – A seven-year-old boy died af­ter he was pinned by a ve­hi­cle in the garage of his home.

Lit­tle Jay­don Tyson was rushed to hospi­tal but was pro­nounced dead on ar­rival.

Po­lice said on the day of the in­ci­dent the child was at his home at Warner Street, Egypt Vil­lage, with three other chil­dren in the care of an el­derly male rel­a­tive.

The rel­a­tive told po­lice that at around 3 p.m. he heard a

“bang” in the garage. When he checked, he found lit­tle Jay­don pinned be­tween a steel post and the ve­hi­cle.

Po­lice were told that a three-year-old child was in the ve­hi­cle.

An au­topsy is ex­pected to be per­formed to­day at the Foren­sic Sciences Cen­tre. (Trinidad Ex­press)
