Three Bhutanese students recognized for excellence
Ministry of Education recognized the excellence achieved by three of its undergraduate scholarship students who returned with gold medal and certificates of excellence. Dasho Ugyen Chewang, advisor of the interim government to the Ministry of Education felicitated the three students and congratulated the scholars for their stellar performances and achievements.
One of the students Ngawang Tshomo went to pursue Bachelors of Urban Planning at the School of Planning and Architecture ( SPA), New Delhi, India in 2013. She was awarded the SPA Gold Medal for the Best Student of Bachelor of Planning Examination and Best Thesis of Bachelor of Planning Examination in 2017. She was also awarded the General Proficiency Prize for standing first in the Final Bachelor of Planning Examination. She graduated in 2017.
The second student Pema Euden studied B. Sc. Mathematics at the University of Texas at El Paso, USA in 2014. She was awarded the Academic and Research Excellence in Mathematics at the undergraduate level by the University of Texas at El Paso. Pema Euden graduated in July 2018 and will be serving as a teacher.
The third student Sonam Lhamo pursued B. Sc. Physics at the University of Texas at El Paso, USA in 2014. She was awarded Academic and Research Excellence in Physics at the undergraduate level by the University of Texas at El Paso. Sonam Lhamo graduated in July 2018 and will also be serving as a teacher.
The programme was attended by their parents and family members of the three students and officials from the ministry.
