Bhutan at the WIPO Gen­eral Assem­bly in Geneva

Bhutan is at­tend­ing the as­sem­blies of the Mem­ber States of the World In­tel­lec­tual Prop­erty Or­ga­ni­za­tion (WIPO), fifty-eight se­ries of Meet­ings at Geneva from Septem­ber 24 to Oc­to­ber 02, 2018. The del­e­ga­tion is led by Sec­re­tary of Min­istry of Eco­nomic Af­fairs Dasho Yeshi Wangdi and of­fi­cials from Depart­ment of In­tel­lec­tual Prop­erty. The del­e­ga­tion made a state­ment at the Gen­eral Assem­bly on 25th Septem­ber, 2018 un­der­scor­ing the im­por­tance of the on­go­ing ef­forts to de­velop the in­tel­lec­tual prop­erty ad­min­is­tra­tion sys­tem in the coun­try. While in Geneva, the del­e­ga­tion will call on the Di­rec­tor Gen­eral of the WIPO Dr. Fran­cis Gurry and also meet with the other key of­fi­cials of WIPO to fur­ther strengthen the ex­cel­lent de­vel­op­ment co­op­er­a­tion ac­tiv­i­ties and pro­grammes.
