WHO Rep­re­sen­ta­tive presents cre­den­tials

The World Health Or­ga­ni­za­tion (WHO) Rep­re­sen­ta­tive to Bhutan Dr. Rui Paulo de Je­sus pre­sented his cre­den­tials to the Min­is­ter for For­eign Af­fairs, Ly­onpo Dr. Tandi Dorji, at a cer­e­mony con­ducted at the Gya­ly­ong Tshogkhang last Thurs­day.

Dr. Rui holds a Univer­sity De­gree in Medicine and Surgery (M.D) from Udayana Univer­sity, In­done­sia; and Mas­ters in Pub­lic Health (M.Ph) from John A. Burns School of Medicine, Univer­sity of Hawaii, United States of Amer­ica. Prior to his ap­point­ment as the WHO rep­re­sen­ta­tive to Bhutan, he worked as co­or­di­na­tor, coun­try sup­port and co­or­di­na­tion, WHO Coun­try Of­fice in Bhutan. Bhutan joined WHO on March 1982. WHO Coun­try Of­fice for Bhutan was es­tab­lished in Thim­phu in 1983.
