Train­ing on en­hanced tools in Rust sur­veil­lance in Bhutan

The Na­tional Plant Pro­tec­tion Cen­tre (NPPC) in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Sathguru Man­age­ment Con­sul­tant, In­dia con­ducted one day pre-sea­soned train­ing on “De­ploy­ment of en­hanced tools in Rust sur­veil­lance in Bhutan” in the cap­i­tal last Tues­day.

Twenty five par­tic­i­pants from ARDC-Bajo, ARDCWengkhar, ARDC-Samten­ling, NPPC and ex­ten­sion agents from Bumthang, Chukha, Paro, Haa and Mon­gar par­tic­i­pated in it.

The train­ing in­cluded ses­sions on ac­tive us­age of en­hanced tools in sur­veil­lance be­fore com­mence­ment of wheat sea­son, hands-on-train­ing on web based SARRC Rust tool box and its ap­pli­ca­tion in an an­droid de­vice. Par­tic­i­pants were also pro­vided with their cre­den­tials for us­ing the tool box. The train­ing was funded by De­liv­er­ing Ge­netic Gains in Wheat (DGGW).
