DPT de­clares two new can­di­dates

Druk Phuen­sum Tshogpa (DPT) de­clared two new can­di­dates on Tues­day.

DPT in­tro­duced Sonam Tob­gay, 26, from Jam­goen un­der Bji ge­wog un­der Haa as its can­di­date from Bji– Katso con­stituency, Haa.

Sonam Tob­gay com­pleted Bach­e­lors in Arts in Bhutanese Hi­malayan stud­ies from Col­lege of Lan­guage and Cul­ture Stud­ies, Tak­tse un­der Trongsa in 2016. He worked as cul­tural guide for more than year.

Sonam said friends and fam­ily in­flu­ence made him join pol­i­tics but for him, choos­ing the right party with great value was the best de­ci­sion he has made.

The other can­di­date DPT an­nounced was Changa Dawa, 25, from Lungo un­der Laya to con­test from Kha­toed– Laya con­stituency un­der Gasa.

Changa has a B.A in Lan­guage and Lit­er­a­ture stud­ies from Col­lege of Lan­guage and Cul­ture Stud­ies, Tak­tse from where he also grad­u­ated in 2016. He worked in the pri­vate sec­tor for two years.

Changa said he joined DPT due to its ide­ol­ogy and peo­ple’s faith in the party.
