CHIEF AD­VI­SOR TO AT­TEND FOURTH BIM­STEC SUM­MIT IN NEPAL

The Chief Ad­vi­sor of the In­terim Gov­ern­ment, Chief Jus­tice Dasho Tsh­er­ing Wangchuk, is in Nepal to at­tend the Fourth Bay of Ben­gal Ini­tia­tives for Multi-Sec­toral, Tech­ni­cal and Eco­nomic Co­op­er­a­tion (BIM­STEC) Sum­mit. The Chief Ad­vi­sor also met with the Prime Min­is­ter Khadga Prasad Oli of Nepal. BIM­STEC is a re­gional or­ga­ni­za­tion com­pris­ing seven coun­tries of Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myan­mar, Nepal, In­dia, Thai­land, and Sri Lanka.

Bhutan be­came the mem­ber of BIMTSEC in 2004, seven years af­ter the or­ga­ni­za­tion was founded through the Bangkok Dec­la­ra­tion in 1997.
