CHIEF ADVISOR TO ATTEND FOURTH BIMSTEC SUMMIT IN NEPAL
The Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, Chief Justice Dasho Tshering Wangchuk, is in Nepal to attend the Fourth Bay of Bengal Initiatives for Multi-Sectoral, Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Summit. The Chief Advisor also met with the Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli of Nepal. BIMSTEC is a regional organization comprising seven countries of Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, India, Thailand, and Sri Lanka.
Bhutan became the member of BIMTSEC in 2004, seven years after the organization was founded through the Bangkok Declaration in 1997.
