The sec­ond Bhutan-Aus­tria Eco­nomic Fo­rum to bring en­trepreneurs from two coun­tries to cre­ate busi­ness part­ner­ships and to har­ness each other’s strengths con­cluded in Thim­phu this week.

The fo­rum re­port­edly saw eight Aus­trian com­pa­nies from di­verse sec­tors such as en­ergy, en­gi­neer­ing, tourism, and health in Bhutan to ex­plore busi­ness and in­vest­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties.

The gov­ern­ment, dur­ing the fo­rum, also pre­sented on how Bhutan is look­ing at eco­nomic diver­si­fi­ca­tion in the 12th FYP and that it will pri­or­i­tize works to push Bhutan into the world top 50 in ease of do­ing busi­ness rank­ings. Bhutan is in the 81st po­si­tion go­ing by the ease of do­ing busi­ness re­port 2019.

Mean­while, the fo­rum was or­ga­nized by the Aus­trian De­vel­op­ment Agency.
