NU 90.63MN APPROVED FOR EIGHT PROJECTS
Bhutan Trust Fund for Environment Conservation (BTFEC) approved to fund eight projects worth Nu 90.63mn as part of its mandate to finance conservation programs in the country last week.
For a more sustainable transport system, it approved the installation of about six electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the country which will be undertaken by the information and communications ministry soon. Meanwhile, there are five charging stations in the country as of today and these are being used by close to 100 electric vehicles (EVs).
According to the BTFEC Director, two projects focused on adaptation, two on mitigation, three on the security, and one on social wellbeing.
