Fashion lovers and those who were keen to shop, mingle and socialize with family and friends made their way to the coolest fashion market in town.

The Protea Hotel, formerly Masa Square Hotel has for years been synonymous with hosting some of the most breathtaki­ng and innovative fashion shows. This past weekend's event lived up to the expectatio­n of some of those who were hungry for a fashion show. With Covid- 19 forcing organisers to cancel the annual extravagan­za, this was their way of giving a platform to fashion designers and other industries.

Show casing the beautiful works of local curators from different industries in fashion designers, shoes and even those who curate beautiful concepts around decor and sauces, there was everything for everyone. Letsatsi Plants with stunning creations and sauces/ hot chili were amazing. Letsatsi curates flowers in beautiful containers of all sorts as well as herbs. It was a breath of fresh air to see fish bowls being turned into cool containers. Designers such as Thanks Dibeela, DihDah, the coolest kids line namely Tum Tummy, Lebo Merafhe, Africa Wax Printsbw, and many more showcased beautiful designs. It felt like most of them had been for a platform of this calibre. One of those whose stall was frequently visited was none other than Lebo Merafhe.

Stylish and trendy, her line was just gorgeous and stunningly beautiful. Loose fitting and perfect for all who want to look good, she explained in an interview that her clients can either dress up or dress down some of the pieces in the collection. In total, she had close to 15 pieces in the collection.

“They are simple but stand out,” she tells this publicatio­n.

In an interview, the hotels Marketing Manager, Botho Mogami was elated with the turnout and how everything came together. She emphasized that the fashion market was their demonstrat­ion and commitment towards helping drive the developmen­t of a sustainabl­e ecosystem that will uplift the local fashion industry.
