“Leveraging on our newly developed addressing standards, the home mail delivery pilot allowed BotswanaPost to cost and test the viability of doorto- door deliveries of mail items. This provided critical information towards producing tariffs for the roll- out of home mail delivery on a larger scale in Botswana’s urban landscape,” said Maphanyane.

She said Botswana Post was now rolling out an evolution of this home delivery system to the post offices in the Greater Gaborone Area.

Maphanyane emphasized that setting up of the national addressing system was a key enabler to a fully implementable and productive home mail delivery.
