Theetso admitted that the future of the team is somehow still bright considerin­g many other aspects in sport. “The future is bright. Age is still on the side of Christine Botlogetsw­e and Galefele Moroko and there are many other female athletes who are coming up well behind the scenes.”

Moreover, he said women participat­ion in sport is very low in the country hence it is very important to keep the few that are there. “It is a known fact that we have few women participat­ing in sport in our country but the few we have in athletics, we will make sure that we keep them.”
