Cooper linked to European move

-

In recent months, the midfielder has attracted several scouts from across the world, and has been a star player for the side after just joining in 2020. The hardworking midfielder has won the Absa Cup with Lusaka Dynamos. It was the cup final that introduced Cooper to the world and made him a fan favorite in the Zambian capital.

According to sources close to the player, the two clubs are hot on his heels and are willing to meet Lusaka Dynamos’s asking price to have his signature. Although both moves present a big opportunity for the local midfielder, there is no denying that the player will favor a move to Europe instead of staying in the African continent.

Slavia Prague is one attractive club and will open many doors for the player. The Czech First League winners have consistently played in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, two of the best club tournaments in the world.

Slavia reached the quarterfinals of the 2018– 19 UEFA Europa League and qualified for the 2019– 20 UEFA Champion’s League group stage for the second time in their history. They once again reached the Europa League quarter- finals in the 2020– 2021 season.

The Lusaka Dynamos pint- sized midfielder recently left the country to rejoin his team in Lusaka ahead of the season opening Charity Shield Cup against League Champions, Zesco United.

The Zebras midfielder however, hasn’t played in a while following his absence from the national team camp a month ago. It was expected that he would join the rest of the team in Port Elizabeth, South Africa during the Cosafa tournament.

Moreover, it is said that the player’s agent has traveled to Europe to try and make his move to Czech First League possible. Reached for comment, the player’s agent, Bakang Moipone could not be reached on his phone and did not respond to questions sent to him by print time. Mini Cooper, as he is known across the football divide, is one of the finest midfielders in the country, with neat passing and aggressive ball retention being some of his defining strengths on the pitch.

Cooper has been a revelation in the Lusaka Dynamos team after he made a move from Township Rollers to join the Zambian side, where he won the Absa cup on his debut season. He remains one of their key players and he is beginning to reap the rewards of his hard work.
