Orange appoints new CEO

Orange Botswana has appointed Néné Maïga Chief Executive Officer effective 1 September 2021. According to Chairman of the company, Satar Dada, ‘ her expertise, experience and vision will no doubt be an asset to us all, taking us forward to even greater heights’

According to a statement, Maïga began her career in France as a consultant before coming back to Africa. She has been the Chief of Staff to the CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa since 2018, having worked on projects for the group’s entire African footprint, contributi­ng to a more efficient and inclusive company. Previously, she was the CEO of Orange Finances Mobiles Mali, the electronic wallet used by half of adult Malians for financial inclusion. “I am incredibly excited to join such a wonderful business and team, and to have received such a warm welcome in Botswana. As I work to cement my key priorities, I look forward to engaging with all of our valued stakeholde­rs and partners.” Said Maiga.
