Stanbic hosts infrastructure funding webinar
The Bank was this week expected to host the inaugural Infrastructure Development Funding Webinar which was aimed at enhancing resources and build relationships through PPPs, beginning with dialogue and ideation to then plot tangible actions and progress thereon.
The webinar was to be held under the theme “A conversation on Public Private Partnerships as a vehicle to drive infrastructure development in Botswana.”
The aim of the webinar is to ensure that the Bank and wider stakeholders work together to develop strong, strategic value- based relationships with motivated towards progress, supporting by the Bank’s capabilities in driving infrastructure development in Botswana with PPPs. This also works to support greater measurement of social, environmental and economic returns, or “SEE”, as Stanbic Bank calls it ( aligned to market understanding of Environmental and Social Governance or ESG).
This better enables the Bank to account for the total returns delivered to stakeholders in line with its purpose, Botswana is our home; we drive her growth.
Said Stanbic Bank Botswana Head of Wholesale Clients, Sheperd Aisam, “We are excited about our inaugural Infrastructure Development Funding Webinar for it will bear fruits not only for us as a business but in the grander scheme of things being the wider Botswana’s economy and ecosystem.
