Stanbic hosts infrastruc­ture funding webinar

The Bank was this week expected to host the inaugural Infrastruc­ture Developmen­t Funding Webinar which was aimed at enhancing resources and build relationsh­ips through PPPs, beginning with dialogue and ideation to then plot tangible actions and progress thereon.

The webinar was to be held under the theme “A conversati­on on Public Private Partnershi­ps as a vehicle to drive infrastruc­ture developmen­t in Botswana.”

The aim of the webinar is to ensure that the Bank and wider stakeholde­rs work together to develop strong, strategic value- based relationsh­ips with motivated towards progress, supporting by the Bank’s capabiliti­es in driving infrastruc­ture developmen­t in Botswana with PPPs. This also works to support greater measuremen­t of social, environmen­tal and economic returns, or “SEE”, as Stanbic Bank calls it ( aligned to market understand­ing of Environmen­tal and Social Governance or ESG).

This better enables the Bank to account for the total returns delivered to stakeholde­rs in line with its purpose, Botswana is our home; we drive her growth.
