Organic Natural fights breast cancer

- IRENE SHONE BG CORRESPONDENT

Organic Naturals Skincare ( ONS), a Botswana skincare manufacturing company, joins the world in the fight of Breast Cancer this month. They use indigenously occurring, natural and plant- based oils to promote confidence and embrace natural beauty. Founder of ONS, Didintle Moreki, tells BG Style that this month they are leading a campaign called ‘ The Pink Skincare Drive’ in collaboration with Journey of Hope Botswana.

“This initiative invites the community to gift any organic skin care products to breast cancer Fighters, Survivors and Caregivers that have worked with JOHB,” she explains. She clarifies that, as a skincare formulator, it is her goal to produce products that empower both men and women from different walks of life to love their skins and to confidently show up. “I also take pride in making it a goal to show the potency of plant- based skincare products on the recovery of the skin. I greatly believe it is time to extend this goodness to the Heroes and Heroines affected by Cancer this month as we commemorate Breast Cancer,” says Moreki. They request people to record a 60 second motivational video to cancer survivors and fighters in celebration of the Month. “We would like to urge people to post it on their social media platforms and tag Organic Naturals Skincare and Journey of Hope Botswana, using the # pinkskincaredrive,” explains Moreki. She highlights that, at the end of the campaign all the skin care products will be handed over to The Journey of Hope Botswana, who will in turn donate them to men and women who have worked with Journey of Hope Botswana throughout its years of establishment. Moreki believes that the whole country should join hands in the month of October to raise awareness on Breast Cancer and Cancer in general, because anyone can get cancer. “We all need each other, and more information is needed regarding Non Communicable Diseases such as Cancer,” she said.
