Rollers, Gunners open new chapter

-

With the stakes at an all time high at Mapalastina and with a rich squad depth, the gaffer will be under a lot of pressure to deliver on his first competitive game against an opponent like Extension Gunners, who are unpredictable and perilous. With the likes of Segolame Boy, Edwin Moalosi, Kutlwelo Mpolokang, Mosha Gaolaolwe and Kabelo Dambe, the coach will look to get all his spanners to work and make an early statement that should resonate well with the fanfare.

However, Mapantsola on the other side have a chance to redeem their ailing standards under coach Molefe Mothala, as the team has a daunting task of playing Township Rollers in their opening game of the season. The team is also under a new coach and will be inspired to start the season on a high. Molefe is no stranger to local football and knows what is expected and possibly knows the tricks to help him get the results against a star studded Township Rollers that has enjoyed this fixture more than their counterparts.

The likes of Lesego Lubinda, Percy More, Kabo Rasuping and Tumiso Mashakhola are the notable big names for coach Molefe; he will surely utilize their talents, skills and experience to get results against Mapalastina. In other fixtures, Mogoditshane Fighters and Masitaoka will open the doors for Popa and Mapantsola at the National Stadium, as they square off at 15: 30 hrs before Township Rollers and Extension Gunners at 20: 00 hrs. Police XI hosts Security Systems at Otse, Gaborone United Welcomes Sua Flamingoes in Lobatse while BR Highlanders take on Morupule Wanderers at Serowe Sports Complex; all games start at 16: 00 hrs. On Sunday, Orapa United visit Notwane at the National Stadium, Jwaneng Galaxy will be in their fortress against Gilport Lions while Prisons XI and BDF XI entertain each other at Lobatse Sports Complex; fans will be allowed at the stadiums reduced capacity.
