Absa scoops best HR award

Absa Bank Botswana has been identified as a top employer in the country, according to Top Employers Institute. Top Employers Institute is the global authority on recognizin­g excellence in people practices.

The Institute has certified Absa Bank Botswana as the national 2022 Top Employer, showcasing dedication to a better world of work and exhibiting excellent HR policies and people practices. “As Absa Bank Botswana, we understand the crucial role that Human Resource ( HR) plays in any organisati­on.

“We recognise and believe that our people are our greatest assets and remain dedicated to looking for purposeful HR policies and practices that support and create a conducive and productive environmen­t for our team,” said Managing Director of Absa Bank Botswana, Keabetswe Pheko- Moshagane. She said the award serves as an encouragem­ent for the bank to continue upholding and evolving HR policies. The Top Employers Institute programme certifies organisati­ons based on the participat­ion and results of their HR Best Practices Survey. In addition, the survey covers six HR domains, consisting of 20 topics, including people strategy, work environmen­t, talent acquisitio­n, learning, well- being, and diversity and inclusion. Commenting on the awards, Top Employers Institute Chief Executive Officer, David Plink said some employers continue to meet the challenges of the changing world of work while working tirelessly to make a positive impact on the lives of their workforce. “Reflecting on the demanding year that has been, like the year before it, impacted organisati­ons across the world, Absa Bank Botswana has continued to show that it prioritise­s maintainin­g excellent people practices in the workplace,” said Plink.
