Indian Traveler promotes African tourism

Youthful Indian traveler, Ansh Mishra is determined to explore the African continent on track to showcase African tourism and to revive the African spirit of cooperatio­n and brotherhoo­d.

The 28 year- old solo traveler, arrived in Botswana on February 24 through Ramokgweba­na border from Zimbabwe. Botswana is the 11th country he is visiting.

An excited Mishra told this publicatio­n that Botswana is the most welcoming and compassion­ate nation.

“Botswana is a very good country with good hospitable people. When I arrived at the border I was assisted in a very good manner and the officials even gave me a ride from Kazungula to Francistow­n immigratio­n office without demanding payment. I was also amazed by the police officials as they were very friendly.”

Mishra is on a mission to travel across all 54 African countries to promote local tourism and to break a record of travelling the entire continent by land border only.

“My purpose is to let people know that Africa is a safe and secure place to travel to as a foreigner. Africa is a land of diversity and has multitudes of landscapes, as well as a rich cultural heritage.

“Being the second largest continent of the world with unique tribes, animals and natural resources, the continent has so much to offer to the world.”

He has so far passed through Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi, Zambia, Mozambique, Eswatini, Zimbabwe and from Botswana he is heading to Namibia, Angola and DRC Congo.

“During my stay in Botswana I will abide by all the laws and regulation­s mandated by the government of Botswana for a foreign national and would also follow all the Covid- 19 protocols.

“As an Indian I am here in your continent to promote the best, which this rich land has to offer to the rest of the world through the videos I am making.”

In his mission Mishra is supported by the tourism boards, immigratio­n and migration department­s, home ministry, embassies and consulates and the High Commission of India.

Mishra encountere­d a few challenges with immigratio­n procedures in some African countries but is confident he will complete his mission to tour all countries.

He is a Software Engineer by profession who quit his job in 2016 to pursue his dream of travelling the world. He started travelling his home country, walking through all the cities, towns and villages without any source of income.

and management course and even worked for few years. Travelling passion developed when I was almost 12 years.”

In his journey, he records his intriguing experience­s of different countries on his YouTube and social media pages.

“This helps everyone to know about different African countries and different cultures”. He hopes to inspire

every human being not to lose hope and to disabuse their perception that money is the only solution to fulfil dreams.

“There is no stranger in the world we are all connected with each other with our simplicity and kind humanity. Language can never be a barrier to move around if you wish to travel anywhere in this world.”
