The annual Women’s Etiquette Brunch event returns this year. Penciled to take place on June 11th at the Grand Palm Glass Marquee, the event returns after a two- year hiatus. This will be the fourth edition of the Brunch.

Speakers for this year, will touch on topics that almost all women can relate to. Panellists for this year will include top corporate women such as Naseem Lahri of Lucara, speaking on Glass Ceilings, Kgosi Mosadi Seboko on Gender as a Social Construct, Bogolo Kenewendo on No Limits and Dr Keneilwe Molebatsi on Mental Health.

Ahead of the event, this past weekend, a select few women got together to have a sneak preview of what to expect at the upcoming June event. The Women’s Etiquette Brunch is an initiative of Michelle Phetlhe of ESTeRES. Guests enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast served by Rodizo, The Goodiebag Factory as well as Chellzkitchen and they had insightful conversations on these topics. Esteres put together gift bags for the guests, which had notebooks and stationary from Dulux and Carerra Holdings, who happen to be the proud sponsors of # WEB22. The gift would go a long way in, affording the guests with the chance to document their own views for sharing as well as those of the other guests.

The guests included Miss Botswana Palesa Molefe, Tshepiso Scheffers, Portia Kalane and Imaan Kadar ( Options) to mention a few. The guests who graced this auspicious event did not pass through any criteria, but that they are beautiful, hard- working and ambitious, says the event organizer, Phetlhe.

According to the event organizer, Phetlhe, it was rather prolific how the conversation started with Glass ceilings and transitioning seamlessly into the other topics, making it very evident that they are all interlinked. Some of the commentary that permeated the conversation were whether these ceilings exist, if child birth should be recognized as contributing directly to the economy and should not have the negative powers it sometimes receives. It was also established that to seek therapy for mental issues before they become overwhelming is important.

“Nothing is more a signifier of change of season than when * the trees shed their beauty to pave way for a fresh start,” explains Phetlhe.

She explains that after a twoyear hiatus, they look forward to a riveting Women’s Etiquette Brunch 2022 this winter. “The Women’s Etiquette Brunch ( WEB) offers an opportunity for women to learn first- hand from society or among members of a particular profession or group. WEB is a networking forum as well as an educational setting for day to day issues, in which women who aspire to inspire others are provided an engagement platform,” she said.

This year, Phetlhe notes that they are intending to host an exciting and well- rounded panel who will cover different topics which relate to empowerment.

“We always include an aspect of Health and Wellness to promote a sound and balanced woman from all walks of life. Navigating a new normal post Covid- 19, Mental Health will be a very important conversation,” she said.

Tickets to the brunch are available to be personally delivered. They cost P700 and the contact numbers are 71619565/ 71663953. It’s a ticket to an impactful personal development event and a network platform.
