Che` ri & Au` ti Fashions, an endearing fashion and clothing brand, aims at expanding with a variety of beauty products and accessories, to create that one stop show lifestyle space.

Owner of the brand, Kearoma Rantao, also better known as the queen of Jazz, sees fashion as an art and tells BG Style that as a creative, she wants to share her artistic skills to the universe.

“I regard fashion as appreciating and showing love to one’s looks, based on what to wear, when and for what occasion,” she says, noting that growing up she has always been fascinated by fashion sense.

She therefore took her time to scrutinize the local fashion industry, before she decided to become part of it in 2020 when she decided to come out as a fashion designer. “We are a local Clothing Brand called Che` ri & Au` ti. The brand, that designs and sells women, men and children’s clothing. Our brand name is deliberate because we cater for both men and women, and interestingly children too,” says Rantao.

Their main focus is currently Casual and Fashionable clothing, and she reiterates that they try their best to stand out and offer that chic style. “We are about playing around with fabric, colour and style to soothe one’s character and make them feel good,” she emphasizes. She is forever grateful for the feedback that they receive already, despite the fact that they are relatively new in the market.

This, she says has encouraged them to think outside the box to keep their clients happier by adding other products in the future.

“The mother company, Che` ri & Au` ti Proprietors will in the future expand from Fashion & Clothing to Beauty Products and Accessories, thereby including; toiletries and related products, wines and many other household products,” she shares.

Rantao adds that she is an artist by birth, and therefore this gives her a privilege to rightly scan what the industry needs.

“I grew up loving fashion and clothing and my wish as a child has always been to have a clothing line, so being where I am now satisfies me as I look forward to add other exciting products,” she says adding that she grew up along her mother’s side as she was selling clothes, and her grandmother too made clothes. “My two aunts were fashion designers as well, so I want to believe that I drew so much inspiration from my family, as they would sometimes make those spectacular designs for my performances. Above all, most of the outfits I wear are my own designs, put together by tailors just the way I want them to be, so I am so ready to serve people accordingly through this brand, simply because I am a creative at heart,” she says, noting that music & fashion are like twins, as they both uplift people.

Their newly opened Store is in Gaborone and located at Phase 4, Pure Drop Complex. Rantao says that it really humbles her to see clients supporting them so much and they are thankful to God and promise to continue offering the best service. She is of the view that Botswana Fashion industry is simply amazing and proud to be part of it. “I see a lot of growth, Government support is also massive and elevates our designers,” she says. She sees her brand following into the footsteps of big brands including; Nike , and GUCCI because they are already a household name aimed at being a reputable International Fashion Brand.
