Collabo with Joyous Celebration Local acts get to share stage with the renowned Joyous Celebration

- PHEMELO RAMASU BG REPORTER

For the first time in the history of the Life Changing Concert with Joyous Celebration, local acts will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to collaborate with the group. The Concert is slated for the UB Sports Arena on October 29th. Something special will happen on that annual pilgrimage night in Botswana. Three local acts, Tshenolo Mosimane, Kay Mokaleng and Motheo Rabasha will get to collaborate with the group live on stage. What happened is that in the past, local acts who were featured during the concert, would come on stage on their own and perform their set. But this time around, the trio will jell, work and bring the roof down with Joyous Celebration.

The development has excited Batswana who are eager to experience

Praise and Worship in a whole new level. The trio have their different strengths, and unique qualities. And it will be beautiful to see how they use this big opportunity to harness their talent. The trio were part of the pilot project of the Gospel Icon Talent Search competition, an initiative of Brave Heart and Joyous Celebrations.

Take for example, Mosimane, a larger than life personality when it comes to stage and performing, he is the type of performer who can literally convert a non- believer into a believer. When he is in his element, he is in a world of his own, unaware of what he is doing to his audience.

And then there is Mokaleng. With a soft, but powerful voice, Mokaleng is a powerhouse. When she hits your high note, you will feel like you are sitting in church, receiving blessings.

Lastly, you have Rabasha. He is what many would say, dynamites come in small packages. Don’t be fooled by his small structure, as his voice can blow any roof. And the venue will allow him to be in his best element.

In an interview, the event organiser, Joe Manuel, explained that this year they wanted something different hence this collaboration. He also said that this is something that both partners have never done before.

“We are yet to decide on when that collabo will take place, it might be in the beginning of the show, or in the middle,” he said. He also said that they settled on the trio as they were blown away by their talent during the pilot of the Gospel Icon show event.

“The response has been amazing from the public after this announcement,” he said.

Joyous Celebration comprises of about 120 members and has three principals namely, Lindelani Mkhize, Jabu Hlongwane and Mthunzi Namba. This is the fifth edition of the Life Changing Concert. On the day of the event, the first set will likely start at 1830hrs- 2230hrs, with the last set taking place at 2245hrs0100hrs. Tickets are on sale, and are made up of three categories that include ( Golden) for P400, Silver ( P350), and Bronze ( P300).
