Boko does not own BNF and UDC

- Justin Hunyepa BNF Information & Publicity Secretary

The sickening lies and propaganda that have been churned out by some desperate politicians that Cde Duma Boko has registered the UDC identity icons under his name should not go unchallenged lest it is fronted as the truth.

The truth is that in my capacity as the BNF Publicity Secretary, I was charged with the responsibility to register the BNF name, colours and logo with the Companies and Intellectual Property Authority ( CIPA), a task I dutifully completed. These organisational identity markers are not under Boko or any individual’s names.

As the BNF deployee in the UDC National Executive Committee then, I was given a similar task of registering UDC identity markers as well and this assignment is well on course and the markers will eventually be registered under the UDC as is the custom of any organisation.

The BNF and UDC are also registered with the Registrar of Societies as political organisations and not anyone’s personal entities. Contrary to the baseless lies that have been shamefully presented across social media platforms and public rallies, the UDC name, colours and logo are not yet registered with CIPA.

While these lying liars are going about their deceptive business and politics of hatred, we applaud Cde Boko for his statesmanlike conduct and being focused, mature and selling UDC policies and programmes which will improve the standard of living of Batswana. The BNF and UDC foot soldiers should continue working hard by recruiting new members and selling the party policies, programmes and manifesto and not to be side- tracked by these enemies of the people’s project.

The UDC and its contracting partners are focused on bread and butter issues and encourages all citizens to continue rallying behind it to change the BDP rule in 2024.
