FSG seeks expansion

Funeral Services Group ( FSG) has reiterated its commitment to providing quality services, in addition to expanding existing network of branches for their customers and stakeholde­rs,

This is the message which came out clearly from FSG top executives during the official opening of a new branch in Ramotswa, some 30 kilometres South- East of Gaborone. Speaking at the event, which was attended by customers, village leadership and the business community, Head of Operations, Bogatsu spoke highly of the brand which controls a lion share of the funeral undertakin­g business in Botswana.

“FSG is the biggest and most trusted brand in Botswana. Over the years, we have provided unrivalled funeral service experience­s to our clients through our brands Lyns and Kagiso Funeral Parlours. We continue to provide our services at competitiv­e prices. FSG has been able to grow largely because of the strategic relationsh­ips we have with various partners. The fact that we have also managed to expand to other countries in the region and still remain strong, is testimony to the fact that FSG is a brand to grow with,” said a confident Bogatsu.

He further told attendants that the new Ramotswa branch will diligently service the community of other surroundin­g villages. The new branch is the 21st within FSG stable in Botswana. The state- of- the- art branch offers services such as funeral insurance, mortuary, caskets sale, among others. One of the directors of the company, Dorcus Kgosiitsil­e, who is former Ambassador of Botswana to India, said FSG has grown in leaps and bounds over the years. Having started from humble beginnings as just a funeral services company,, the business now also has assurance services, manufactur­ers caskets, own properties and cemeteries. The company employs 375 people. Kgosietsil­e emphasized that, what has kept the brand intact over the years, has been its commitment to provide quality services to clients, regardless of societal and economic status. The former envoy urged attendants to sign up for funeral insurance policies, which are critical during times of need. Speaking at the same event, South East South Sub Council Chairperso­n, Sebogodi heaped praises on FSG for having found it fit to invest in the community. “We believe in delivering its wide range of services, FSG will work with local partners as well as commit to health competitiv­e and superior services,” she said.

The chairperso­n said the Ramotswa branch is capable of servicing four villages within the subdistric­t, which in total boast of more than 56 000 people. The sub- district is made up of Ramotswa, Mogobane, Otse and Taung villages.
