Absa to provide fiduciary services

Absa Bank Botswana partnered with SCI Wealth to enhance its propositio­n for providing customers with access to fiduciary services.

These services include drafting of wills, establishm­ent of trusts, holistic financial planning, retirement plan, and debt management counsellin­g and restructur­ing.

Absa Bank Botswana Retail Director, Valeta Mthimkhulu said the business’s new Fiduciary Services are a welcome developmen­t because it gives our customers a secure option to handle their wills and trusts.

She highlighte­d that the propositio­n

running through the bank’s affluent segment strives to help customers prioritise their financial future and that of their loved ones. “As a bank, understand­ing and meeting the needs of the evolving customer needs remains at the heart of what we do. We continue to support our customers in their life journeys. We are always looking for purposeful ways to deliver value in new ways to them.”

Mthimkhulu said they are excited to enable clients to convenient­ly access a range of services through this partnershi­p which is a step in the right direction as the bank aims to help them in their quest to create sustainabl­e and long- term financial wealth. “Absa Bank Botswana recognises its role and responsibi­lities in the financial service industry. We believe in creating sustainabl­e opportunit­ies for our clients, customers, and communitie­s. We remain dedicated to helping them find ways to get things done through such propositio­ns as Fiduciary services,” said Mthimkhulu.

The Fiduciary Services were created to act on behalf of customers in estate planning and management through the creation and administra­tion of wills and trusts. Mthimkhulu said this is a support and assistance- focused advising solution.

SCI Wealth Managing Director, James Fern explained that through the partnershi­p, clients will be able to have access to financial solutions including, Will drafting, trusts and estate planning, retirement planning, investment advice as well as Holistic financial plan. “Customers will be able to get free one on one consultati­on with the financial planner. They will be able to have independen­t advice from an experience­d and qualified financial planner.”
