Following the announcement, another statement from the society faction followed.

“Following recent public media statements from some of the shareholders for MCC ( Pty) Ltd, it has come to the attention of the council of chairpersons that the Society was not engaged in full transformation process and in most instances, was banned from using properties deemed to belong to the Company. It is on these basis that we found it fit to declare support and allegiance to the interim committee in defending the position of Society ( general membership). Part of the defense include but are not limited to compiling reports for further arguments, obtaining society documents from relevant authorities and engaging relevant legal advisors,” Society representatives shared.

In a meeting held on Tuesday, BG Sport has gathered that the club will return to society but will operate as a company this season as they formulate de- registration of the club as a company.

During its days of dominance in local football, Magosi had partnered with business tycoon, Sayeed Jamali who helped the club to attract some of the best talents in the COSAFA region and compete in the CAF Champions’ League.

Chiefs still boasts the record of going the entire 2007/ 2008 football season unbeaten.

Magosi were thrashed 5- 0 by youthful Eleven Angels side in a promotional play- off final to deny them a possible return into the premier league after they finished behind Holy Ghost last season.

The Kgatleng giants Chairman revealed that the transformation of the club will not see major changes to the brand that the club is, he said they will operate as a company and will now become a sporting club.
