NARDA names new CEO
National Agricultural Research and Development Institute has appointed Prof Julious Atlhopeng as new Chief Executive Officer, after ‘ vigorous international search’. He has a PhD in Geosciences from University of Wollongong, Australia and Msc Kings
College, United Kingdom and a Bsc from University of East Angelia, also from the UK. Atlhopheng boast close to 30 years of teaching, research, professional engagement, supervision of Bsc, Msc and PhD candidates from several universities.
The new NARDI CEO has worked locally and internationally. He is the
United Nations’ trained expert Negotiator on Multi- Lateral Environmental Agreements and Chairman of UN Convention to combat desertification. He has served on many Presidential Task Forces such as Botswana Transformation Strategy. NARDI is a government funded research and development institution.
